ES SERIES SETUP
The ES series of Growatt Inverters do have CAN Bus communications.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you need to use the ES series with a Hubble battery and CANbus, then it is required to install a Hubble Cloudlink.
Even though the Hubble battery can communicate directly with the Growatt, the Hubble Cloudlink has the full Growatt CAN bus protocol embedded and adds extra communications features that the Growatt requires to perform optimally.
Ensure your master battery dip switch is set to 1 to enable CAN bus communication on the Hubble battery.

FREQUENTLY ASKED GROWATT QUESTIONS
Q: How do you setup multiple batteries?
A: Check the manual for a more detailed explanation. You will have to set dip switch settings per battery to give them a unique address. You also have to connect the included RJ45 battery link cables into the "Battery Link" port of each battery. Ensure your master battery dip switch 1 is on, 2,3,4 is OFF. Only the master battery CAN Bus will be enabled.
Q: Do I have to use the communication battery link cables if i dont want to monitor the slave batteries or have communications?
A: Yes it is recommended to still connect the slave cables for inter BMS communicaitons.
